Head of Piping Engineering / France

An exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Head of Piping Engineering to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. Piping Engineering role is based in Nanterre France - from initial mobilization until Oct. 2024 and Qatar Onshore – Nov 2024 until the rest of the assignment.


In your first few weeks in this Head of Piping Engineering role, you can expect to:

• Verify the design and implementation of piping deliverables including large pipe sizes, large valves (e.g Control, motor operated, pressure relief, manual), cryogenic systems, high-pressure steam and high-pressure sour gas services including approvals of piping stress calculations and design of piping shoes, pipe hangers and weld joint design, G&A, plant layout and 3D model
• Direct the preparation and stewardship of Piping Engineering scope of work in FEED contract, advise and recommend design procedures, processes, deliverables and alternative studies, as required, to optimise project cost and schedule

To apply for this Head of Piping Engineering role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent
• 15 years of experience at a senior Piping Engineering supervisory level with a broad knowledge of engineering execution, including design standards, specifications, codes, safety, facilities design, construction and operations
• Experience with cryogenic piping and LNG systems design
