Urgently hiring for a well-known Oil & Gas Company Based in Qatar, the vacancy is for Sr. IT Planning Analyst
Candidates based in UK and EUROPE are preferred.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or bachelor’s degree any Business
discipline.
• 8 years’ IT experience within Oil & Gas industry with specific experience establishing IT Systems and Applications.
• Good working experience within Finance and Supply management solutions.
• Understands standard contracting procedures and has some experience in the development and negotiation of an SLA.
• Ability to analyze organizational objectives, issues, and opportunities.
• Understands how IT should be embedded to support and address such opportunities.
• Ability to build high-level plans for IT change programs.
• Awareness in applying standards, practices, codes, and assessment and certification programs relevant to the IT industry.
• Familiar with IT/IS infrastructure, IT applications and service processes.
• Compliance towards IT and business continuity risks, and their mitigation.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Coordinate and align IT strategy towards business strategies and enterprise transformation activities whilst ensuring
compliance to IT strategies, policies, standards, practices, financial and procurement.
• Communicate and maintain objectives, accountabilities, and monitoring of progress as appropriate throughout the
organization. Monitor the delivery of objectives which feed back into the strategic planning process.
• Monitor IT expenditure and identifies where costs may exceed planned budget and provides timely reports, ensuring that
all financial targets can be met. Investigate any areas where actual or forecast expenditure deviates from budgets by more
than agreed tolerances.
• Develop and implement effective financial controls and decision-making processes for IT Department.
• Oversee suppliers' contractual obligations and the fulfilment of their contractual obligations as per the agreed terms and
conditions.
• Monitor and challenge supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Undertake comprehensive
contract and supplier evaluations to confirm achievement of business objectives and value for money of contracts.
• Support and engage with stakeholders throughout all stages of the contract lifecycle and ensure continuous improvements
are identified and initiated.
• Identify changes, evaluate impact, and advises stakeholders about the implications and consequences regarding the
procurement and financial elements of IT programs and projects.
• Use agreed tools, templates, and standards to articulate and agree measures in collaboration with clients/users. Create
specification of the rules and the data required for a metric and details the relevance of the metric to departments and to
the organization.
• Provide advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards. Use
appropriate selection criteria, evaluate methods and tools, as directed, and tailor them in line with agreed policies and
standards.
