Senior Project Engineer - Work Package Manager / England

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer/ Work Package Manager on a contract basis in offshore wind. The position will be based in London and is outside of IR35.

3 days a week in the office and 2 days WFH each week.

This is for an operator.

Your responsibilities:

• Leading a team of highly skilled specialists to successfully tender, contract and execute the WTG supply contract until handover to O&M
• Report, plan and control work package budget including continuous risk monitoring
• Manage the work package timeline in accordance with the overall project time line
• Coordinate work package internal and external interfaces (e.g. consenting, procurement)
• Provide and ensure consideration of work package relevant requirements within the project
• Ensure consideration of health and safety guidelines at all phases of the project

Ideal background:

At least 5 years track record in responsible project management positions for large infrastructure or energy projects, ideally with specific experience on delivery of WTG packages for offshore wind farm projects

Master's degree or equivalent in electrical or mechanical Engineering or closely related; additional qualifications such as PMP or NEBOSH welcome

Sound technical knowledge of large electrical / mechanical systems

Strong team player with demonstrable team leadership and management skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people of different backgrounds and cultures
