Construction Superintendent – Lifting & Rigging Night Shift / Qatar

Job Purpose

The position is responsible and accountable to review/support/inspect all lifting plans, equipment, lifting devices, and rigging and lifting gear pertaining to the scope of EPC-3/4 through hand-over to the Commissioning and Completion Teams in accordance with the Completion Sequence.
Position will be day shift but with necessary coverage of night shift where/if required.
This position is to supervise the execution of the lifting and rigging works to support construction and system completion, ensuring compliance with the approved construction sequence and allowing a seamless transition with the pre-commissioning, then commissioning activities.
The position shall interact daily with its counterpart at EPC-3/4 Contractor on the premise that both COMPANY and EPC-3/4 Contractor have “mirror” organizations.
The position includes the review, comment and approval of construction related deliverables submitted by the EPC-3/4 Contractor.

Qualifications

Technical background as a rigger, rigging supervisor, lifting supervisor, lifting superintendent, or lifting engineer with solid Project Execution experience

Knowledge and/or Experience

Minimum of 10 years’ experience as lifting engineer, lifting or rigging supervisor, lifting or rigging superintendent or above.Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.
Ability to review engineered lift plans and critical lift plans with EPC Lifting Engineers to ensure safe lifting and rigging execution
Ability to review pipe rigging and positioning (Bull Rigging) practices and arrangements to determine safety and suitability of application.
Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.
Experience with LNG Projects.
