Job description:
- Market analysis
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends within the solar industry.
- Lead Generation
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events to expand company’s client base.
- Client relationship management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
- Proposal development
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop project proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Negotiation and closing
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new business deals and achieve revenue targets, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).
- Strategic planning
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve sales objectives.
- Team collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
- Market expansion
- Explore opportunities for market expansion, including partnership, joint ventures, and new product/service offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, MBA would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the solar industry.
- Strong understanding of solar energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory environment, including experience with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective business strategies.
- Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to professionally communicate in English, speaking, writing, and reading.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
