Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer - Oil and Gas Operating Company – UAE 


We are looking for a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer for an oil and gas Operating Company based in UAE.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver no harm (People, Asset, Environment and Reputation), accountable for embedding safety leadership culture for self, team members and contractor for all maintenance activities. Promote strong behavioral safety interactions culture;
- Deliver maintenance activities within budget and actively explore opportunity for cost optimization, increase in safety, reliability, productivity, and efficiency as part of our long term strategy;
- Provide day to day rotating equipment support for the offshore production facilities. This includes inspection, preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, root cause analysis on trips or failures, spare management, obsolescence management, reliability improvement, identification of rotating equipment vulnerability and follow up actions;
- Provide a lead role in troubleshooting rotating equipment failure investigations, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RFCA). Provide the company with expert technical advice as required. Troubleshoot complex or recurring problems and recommend sound and cost-effective solutions as the problems arise;
- Develop, review, adjust and optimise current and future rotating equipment maintenance strategies based on Reliability Centered Maintenance processes and industry best practices to meet production targets with overall cost effectiveness;
- Interface with workshops, vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) regarding equipment overhaul / repair both in-house and external repair facilities. Liaise with both vendor and Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE) repair facilities for improvement of repaired equipment;
- Ensure Service Bulletins and product updates/obsolescence are documented and completed in accordance with OEM guidelines;
- Interface with engineering department to ensure maintainability is considered when specifying, procuring and installing new or replacement equipment;
- Assure that all operations and maintenance activities of the operating assets remain inside the facilities current design envelope. Carry out minor rotating equipment modifications, improvements and alterations to existing rotating equipment via the management of change process;
- Ensure that equipment repairs / overhauls are aligned through the integrated schedule to support DPE business goals, reducing downtime to a minimum on all production critical equipment;
- Maintain overall responsibility for the maintenance of the database for all rotating equipment records, including, running hours, overhaul schedules and maintenance / plant documentation, ensuring that drawings and manuals are updated as and when required;
- Provide input to ensure that the Rotating Equipment budget is prepared, maintained and reviewed each year;
- Manage contracts to ensure value of money for the Company by delivering strong Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and high-quality technical performance by the contractors.

Candidate profile:

-Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical (minimum).
-Certified Vibration Analyst, minimum Mobius level 2 or equivalent is preferable;
-15+ years, experience in rotating equipment maintenance, condition monitoring and control system interfaces for oil and gas facility in an offshore environment.
-Knowledge / experience of operating and maintaining both industrial and Aero Derivative Gas Turbines and their supporting systems to include Siemens, Rolls Royce, Dresser Rand, Solar and Baker Hughes General Electric (BHGE).
-Knowledge / experience in the operation and Maintenance of Centrifugal Gas Compressors and their supporting systems to include Cooper Bessemer and Dresser Rand.
-Knowledge / experience in the operation and Maintenance of Power Turbines and their supporting systems to include Cooper Bessemer and Dresser Rand.
-Experience in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) would be an advantage.

-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; including expert knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel. Must demonstrate the ability to manipulate spreadsheets with complex data and generate reports from advanced MS Excel functions including complex formulae, pivot tables, vlookup and hlookup.<
