Senior ICSS Engineer / UAE

Looking for a Senior ICSS Engineer to work on one of their key projects in the UAE. Will be working on a flag ship Oil & Gas project. The project which will be for a site in the Middle East aims to boost Gas production on an operational field to meet the increasing demand for Electricity supply. The Structural Civil Engineer role will join the project in FEED phase. The role will be based from FEED design contractor offices in UAE

The position will be on a contract basis for 1 Year with extension possibilities. Start date looking at 1st july 2024. The schedule will be Mon – Fri. In return the individual will be provided with an attractive rate. Rate is negotiable depending on suitability and experience.

Job dimensions
The position will include the following missions:

• The job holder assists and reports to the ICSS Lead. The job holder is entitled to comply with rules and requirements of Project.
• The job holder brings support in ICSS Engineering
• The job holder may have to liaise, as requested, with Iraq affiliate Engineering Dpt.
• The job holder shall observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his duties.
• The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating individually an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.

The Job holder is in charge to:
The service will include the following missions/Activities:
· Supervision and coordination of ICSS Engineering of EPC Contractors,
· Project and cost management in liaison with other disciplines,
· Technical papers preparation to support management position for clarifications/ decisions with regulatory authorities of hostcountries, other entities or partners,
· Deviation requests coordination to the project referential, in a timely manner and with due consideration to cost and schedule,
· Participation during key project reviews, plot plan reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability review and design/model review meetings,
· Review of ICSS documents in accordance with industry standards, codes and clients specifications such as drawing,calculation note, etc,
· Ensure the respect of the technical rules on construction discipline (correct usage of Clients General Specificationsand international norms) in ICSS,
· Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered,
· Support to possible technical queries and derogations to Project specifications (technical, costs, planning, interfaces, reporting),,
· Contribution to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, construction, installation and review/approval of deliverables fromthe design contractor (Engineering drawings, calculation notes, specifications, procedures...)
· To comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives,
· To support and implement the Project HSE management system (plans, procedure and specifications).

· Participating and preparing reports for project studies, and other ICSS workshops when required
· Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline
· Co-ordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
· Providing technical support to site/Affiliate as required
· Producing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they
conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems
· Attend CTR meetings and communicate issues with Engineering Manager as required
· Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Advanced expertise is required:
• In Control System and Instrumentation in oil & gas project/industry specially for onshore fields.
• In project at all life-cycle stages of project development (Basic and Detailed Engineering, etc)
• Proficient to the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry i.e. API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, etc
• Adept at designing and engineering for the Instruments and control systems like DCS (Conventional & Field bus), Fire & Gas, Safety shutdown systems, Remote telemetry units, Gas metering systems, SMART instruments, Liquid metering systems, Multiphase flow meter, High integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS), HVAC, field instruments like transmitters, Control valves, Shut down Valves and Choke Valves, etc.
• Strong knowledge with International Structural codes (i.e. API, AISC, DNV, Eurocode) and Clients General Specifications related to structures.
