Pipeline engineer
Contract period: 01.04.2024 - 31.03.2025
Location: Oslo
Main Tasks:
- Ensure involvement and alignment of technical requirements and solutions with respective leading advisors.
- Preparation of technical documents.
- Handle pipeline interfaces.
- Identify and understand the key cost driving elements .
- Ensure that project and discipline related risks are identified and incorporated in Risk registers.
- Ensure experience transfer with company SURF portfolio.
- Involve Plant integrity/ operation aspects in design and ensure correct LCI requirements are included in scope descriptions.
- Scope definitions/descriptions and selection of relevant requirements.
- Tendering and evaluation activities.
- Contractor follow-up in project execution.
- Initiate and follow-up external and perform internal technical studies/analysis relevant in the different project phases; feasibility, concept, FEED, execution.
- Ensure a common approach towards Contractors between the projects.
- Follow up fabrication and installation as required by on site visits and taking part in offshore installations 2 - 4 weeks per year.
Qualification:
- Master’s degree preferably within marine, mechanical or civil engineering. Applicants with academic degrees within other fields or with bachelor’s degree will be considered. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications and vise versa.
- Experience from engineering, procurement, construction and installation of pipelines. Candidates with only engineering experience or only installation experience will also be considered.
- Good understanding of project development.
- S-lay and/or reeled pipelines experience. Landfall, J-lay, onshore pipeline and seabed intervention experience beneficial.
- English is required
