**Quality Assurance Engineer**
12 month contract (PAYE) 
Newcastle-upon-Tyne

This would be an initial 12 month contract with the view of becoming permanent and the individual would be working a Monday-Friday week, with flexible start times.

Role description:

• Verify contractual and regulatory requirements are fulfilled and have maximized customer satisfaction and profitability
• Establish and execute project quality plan, witness-points, quality records for compliance with contract
• Ensure customer quality requirement, Feedback of Experience (FOE)/Lessons Learned are considered in the tender proposal to avoid deviation and to continually improve execution processes
• Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements
• Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis
• Contributes to project as a team member. Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete, and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months
• Create Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plan incorporating additional customer quality and technical requirements including Hold and Witness points
• Vendor Inspection and Test Plan review and approval to ensure they capture project requirements
• Non-Conformance management (Internal and Vendor related) to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Customer Issue Resolution (CIR)
• Ownership of project specific quality requirements to ensure effective project execution.
• Preferable experience in Manufacturing forging and heat treatment.
