We are looking for a Project Developer who can develop and maintain strong relationships with developers in the renewable energy field, implement expansion plans, coordinate with finance and legal teams, and support on permitting procedures. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related fields, at least 5 years of renewable energy project development experience, and a successful track record. They should have knowledge of renewable energy, utility, and market, as well as local renewable energy development rules and regulations. Your responsibilities:Developing and maintaining strong relationships with developers in the renewable energy fieldImplement expansion plans across the assigned territory in line with Company strategyConduct preliminary discussions for the legal, technical and financial analysis of the renewable energy projectsCoordinate with finance team for calculating and analysing project returns of the projectsStreamline and formulate robust legal/technical/commercial opinion for new projects with aim to ensure statutory adherence and mitigate organizational risk exposureLeading and supporting on a wide range of permitting procedures, permitting management, and reviewing the permitting documentation submitted to authorities to ensure conformity with laws and regulations.Providing advice and supporting on project development matters.Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for the development procedure of renewable energy projects.Monitoring legal and technical risks and compliance with obligations from permitting documents.Engaging with public authorities in relation to development matters.Ensures that technical and legal matters regarding the development process are fulfilled and delivered on timeDetermine appropriate points of interconnection with electric utility grid resources and determine interconnection feasibility, including easements for interconnecting linesIdentify energy offtake opportunities and PPA RFPs, and prepare for biddingsSupport the finance team to set up financial modelling of projects with the goal of achieving a comprehensive and realistic financial expectationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, related fieldsAt least 5 years Renewable energy project development experience with successful track recordsKnowledge of renewable energy, utility, and marketKnowledge of local renewable energy development rules and regulation including solar/wind legislation and guidelines, tax issuesAnalytical skills to collate and generate reports for projectsFluency in English is considered an asset.
