Contract: Cloud Specialist / Brisbane

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Expert to work with an industry leader in energy productivity for a 6-month contract. As part of the Operations Landscape Management (OLM) team, you’ll be responsible for delivering smooth operations of applications and their related back-end technology. The ideal candidate will work as part of a global team with a strong track record working with as part of an energy trading business.  This individual should work with minimal/no managerial support.

Responsibilities:
 

• Design, implement and maintain cloud programs and projects
• Develop and implement strategies for migration of on-premises applications to the cloud
• Monitor and optimize the performance and security of cloud-based systems
• Collaborate with teams to design and implement scalable, cost-effective solutions
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing

• Build key relationships (solution architect, data architect, lead developers, lead analyst, PMs)

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with cloud-based networking and security
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems administration
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
