The Role
You will join the NSW rail team working as a Rolling Stock Consultant to clients including Sydney Trains, manufactures and operators across Australia. We are looking for people with a little experience working across engineering in rolling stock of other vehicle technical advisory.

The Role
You will join the NSW rail team working as a Rolling Stock Consultant to clients including Sydney Trains, manufactures and operators across Australia. We are looking for people with a little experience working across engineering in rolling stock of other vehicle technical advisory.
- Ensure rolling stock design is meeting requirement specification.
- Assess structural design conformity.
- Be a technical mater expert for DMU and EMU vehicles.
- Act as the rolling stock Independent Certifier.
- Supervise T&C, product introduction and other project deliverables as required by future projects.
- Assist in project control, execution and management of tasks/projects.
- Carry out analytical & implementation tasks.
- Liaise and assist with project reviews and the project team and communicate effectively with client staff.
- At times, may need to respond to different market/client/project requirements and cultures in a team environment.
- At times, may be responsible for managing and supervising junior consultants performing analysis tasks whilst on project(s).
- Complete all project administrative tasks as specified in the company’s quality manual and procedures including submission of timesheets monthly.
- Degree or higher in engineering discipline, or proven industry background.
- Experience of working in rolling stock engineering, within system engineering, design, maintenance or product introduction
- Mechanically trained.
- Knowledge of rolling stock engineering such a requirements management, design, system engineering is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in rolling stock contractor, engineering consultancy or certification organisation.
- Good communication of English language
