IT Services Coordinator / Uganda

On behalf of a major EPcM in the Oil and Gas industry, we searching for a IT Services Coordinator for the construction of the worlds largest heated pipeline.

This role is office based in Uganda, on a 8/2 rotation.

Job Brief:

• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems that are difficult and complex.
• Provides support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues.
• Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages.
• Interacts with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly.
• Coordinate with other teams or departments and external service providers and vendors to resolve user problems.

Requirements:

• Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science or any related field Graduate.
• Certification (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ etc.) is a plus.
• Proven experience of 7 years as IT coordinator or similar role.
• Experience in network management and help desk support is appreciated
• Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications
• Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
