Electrical Designer/Drafter / Australia

The company:
The client is a specialist Control Systems, Communications, Functional Safety and Electrical Engineering firm operating in the mining and industrial sectors. To support their strong pipeline of work they have an opening for an entry level Electrical Designer to join their expanding core team.

About the role:
All training and mentoring will be provided to the successful candidate in delivering design and drafting solutions for a wide range of different projects.

• Producing detailed design drawings for engineering projects.
• Attendance at site to carry out field inspections of electrical installations for translating to drafted representations.
• Liaising closely with the senior and lead designers, engineers and project manager on key milestones and deliverables.
• Ensure designs follow client requirements as well as industry and Australian standards.
• Be proactive, self-motivated and passionate in learning

About you:

• 3 years of relevant working experience in drafting on Industrial Projects or sites.
• Associate diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical Drafting
• MicroStation experience desirable
• As-building experience desirable
• BHP or RTIO experience is desirable
• Experience in industrial electrical, instrument, control systems and communications.
