Materials Engineer - Senior role Available / Australia

About the role:

The successful candidate will have exposure to some of the largest transport projects as well as the opportunity to support transport and buildings projects nationally and internationally.

• Leading the development of durability planning studies for major infrastructure developments.
• Leading materials performance assessments and developing justification for materials selections documented in design advice for new construction.
• Developing and maintaining competencies consistent with the practice of a professional materials engineer.
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as required.

About you:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural or Materials Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure design or delivery with an interest in materials performance, durability and/or corrosion. prevention. Construction experience would also be an advantage.
• An interest in learning about how construction materials perform, the problems that can arise and how to develop practical, constructible, economic solutions.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and AutoCAD
• An interest to work with a supportive team that values collaboration, technical excellence and great client outcomes.
