Assistant Accountant | Project Homes / Australia

About the Role
The client is a successful residential builder established for over 20 years with a reputation for building quality homes. Currently building around 150+ homes per year, they have plenty of work in the pipeline for years to come.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and assisting a wider finance team of 3, your role will include;

• Overseeing full function AP & AR & payroll
• Expense reconcilliations
• BAS construction & lodgement
• General journal & ledger management 
• Forecasting and tracking key account metrics 
• Manage all subcontractor payments, claims & contracts including ensuring necessary insurances are valid prior to work commencement
• Continuous improvement of payment processes
• Generating financial reports 
• Asset management
• Other adhoc requests & duties

About You
For fulfilment of this role you will possess;

• MUST have recent experience in a similar role
• MUST have construction industry experience
• A degree within Finance/Accounting is required
• CPA qualification preferred
• Good communication skills - Both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• XERO experience is ESSENTIAL
• Databuild experience is preferred also
