Higher education (Civil area) and not less than 2 years of work experience in the position of Designing Civil Engineer (Engineering practice for project concept selection, FEED study, detailed design follows on engineering and closeout). 
Necessary knowledge of    
•    onshore oil and gas upstream facilities including process plants, pipelines, wells, utilities and off sites in cold environmental;
•    engineering practice for detailed design engineering and preparation of work packs;
•    structures and installations in the oil and gas industry;
•    methods for specifying civil works;
•    civil theory and its practical implementation;
•    RoK and international codes, regulations and standards relating to the preparation of technical documentation;
•    Kazakh civil contractor work and business culture;
•    latest developments and current best practice in civil engineering;
•    assess quality of technical requirements for projects;
•    hazardous Area Classification and Equipment.
Necessary skills    
•    technical report writing;
•    time management;
•    plan and organize work load effectively;
•    computer literacy.
Complete assigned work on time to meet company schedules. The work will include: investigations, surveys, feasibility studies, calculations, simulations, detailed design, production of drawings, engineering scopes of work, equipment and material specification for procurement. 
Supervise civil and structural engineering work assigned to external design institutes and engineering companies, to maintain the progress and quality of this work.
Report progress of all assigned work to the Lead Civil Engineer.
Participate in the risk assessment and hazard and operability studies of designs.
Perform peer and inter-discipline checks on work by engineers within and outside Engineering Department. 
Ensure compliance of assigned civil engineering work with the terms of the design brief or technical assignment and applicable specifications, codes and standards.
Ensure the selection of cost effective designs and materials, taking into account operating costs and standardization of equipment.
Control technical compliance of purchased civil materials.
Provide civil engineering support to the teams constructing and commissioning the modified or new plant.
Study best domestic and international civil engineering practice for use in design.
