Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity.
• Supervise activity related to suppliers, including, but not limited to: supplier quality and delivery performance, supplier relations, supplier payments, timely resolution of problems and cost competitiveness
• Self-starter, able to work with or lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills
• Understand strategies for assigned commodities and or projects related activities. Proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives
• Develop proficiency for adding / editing supplier information in the Supplier Data base
• Support and drive activities related to cost out projects in alliance with team objectives
• Identify ways to build and improve on existing processes
• Drive productivity opportunities with supply base to deliver cost out goals
• New Product sourcing activities including quoting, PO placement & expedites
• Resolve Supplier payables issues as they occur
• Place Purchase Orders (PO) timely and obtain PO acknowledgements from Suppliers

Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a Sourcing role)

Desired Characteristics:
Additional experience in Sourcing and Materials Requirement Planning desirable
Efficient with SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point & Word
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
