The valued client, a large Oil & Gas company are seeking an Asset Integrity Technologist to join their team in Fort St. John on a 6 Month Contract basis (With the high opportunity for extension or even going on full time).


Key Accountabilities

  • Implement field Pipeline Integrity Management Program for all regulated pipelines
  • Implement field Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Program for all registered pressure equipment
  • Implement the Tank Integrity Management Program for all tanks and containers, manage tank inventories and coordinate tank testing
  • Interface day to day with site Operations and Maintenance Teams to ensure focus on long term asset reliability and compliance
  • Ensure that all pressure equipment, tank, piping and pipeline repair records and history database is maintained
  • Work closely with engineering and construction personnel to ensure that regulatory requirements with respect to construction of tanks, pressure equipment and pipelines are understood, ensure that equipment inventory is managed as facilities are acquired and retired
  • Participate in, and improve upon, QA/QC programs for new construction with the goal of improving integrity and reliability of new equipment, ensure documentation is integrated with our records management systems
  • Work with Operations and Engineering to ensure the Management of Change process is understood and ensure that changes to facilities are managed and adequately engineered, help as required to specify materials, metallurgy and coatings for new, repair and replacement applications
Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year undergrad student studying Materials, Welding, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering
  • Typically, 3+ years of related oil and gas industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and integrity management software systems such as Maxi-Trak, Accumap, Abacus, or Maximo
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license and excellent safety attitude
  • Pipeline experience and API 510 Certification would be considered an asset
