Contract: Automation and Control Engineer / Chinchilla

for a FIFO role in Western Queensland.
 
This role is a 12-month contract with potential for extension. This position is offered on a 2/2 rotation from Brisbane with an attractive day rate.
 
 Job Requirements:
 Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Designing and troubleshooting systems
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning on LNG wells
• Coordinating commissioning activities on projects (software testing, loop testing etc)
• Undertaking upstream control room support
• Critical Function Testing and Safety Instrumented Function Testing

 
About You:

• Tertiary engineering qualifications in a relevant field (Control, Instrument, Electrical) or substantial trades-based experience within the instrumentation and controls field
• Demonstrated experience in a control system engineering role, ideally within operations and maintenance of hydrocarbons plant or other installations involving gas wells, compression and transmission
• Experience utilising and interfacing with 800xA systems
• Experience with a variety of PLC, DCS, ICSS PCS & SIS and SCADA automation systems (including Allen Bradley and ABB)
• Experience of industrial communications protocols (Modbus / Profibus / OPC - Config, maintenance and troubleshooting)
• Software development for systems including management of control system modifications
• Experience with engineering systems, procedures, Asset Management and Asset Integrity
