Senior Technical Assistant / Aberdeen

Purpose of Role:
• Provide support for the Portfolio & Resource team in an Operated Asset
• Enable Portfolio & Resource team to improve workflows and find critical data
• Carry out projects in support of subsurface technical evaluations
• Maintain databases

MAE/MATTE and HSE Critical Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and client HSEQ procedures

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
• Technical support for preparing and managing annual production forecasts
• Collation and manipulation of data, updating of databases, and provision of general technical support
• Interface with other teams or functions as necessary
• Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.

Critical Skills, Qualifications Experience, etc.:
• BSc Degree in an Engineering or Geoscience discipline
• Previous experience in oil and gas, especially working with production data
• Demonstrable skills in OFM, MS Office (particularly Excel), PowerBI/PowerQuery, Access, Petrel and ArcGIS.
• Good computing skills and ability to quickly learn new subsurface tools
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Listens and understands and is receptive to coaching
• Takes accountability and bases decisions on available information
• Works with others in a caring and respectful way
• Adapts working style to the situation
• Approaches problems logically and escalates when appropriate
• Meets basic agreed timelines
