DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• High level management of the clients delivery team including Project Managers, Site Managers and Contract Administrators.
• Management of budgets, financials, programmes and quality
• Daily inspection and review of project sites to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
• Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports for the Construction Director and Chief Executive Officer.
• Resource management and organisation with attention to budgetary limitations
• Continual process improvement and innovation with the senior management team
Management and implementation of systemised software (Procore, Sign on Site)
• Be accountable for meeting contractual conditions of project performance
• Preparation and input on project management plans
• Prepare and lead monthly company toolbox meetings
• Manage internal and external annual company ISO45001 audits
• Investigate and report on all incidents and near misses, establishing root cause and documenting corrective action
• Fostering a people first culture with internal and external parties (clients/sub-contractor relationships
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree or Tertiary Qualification in Building/Construction Management or similar
• Proven experience as a Construction Manager in the construction / fit-out and refurbishment industry.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the construction industry
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, safety regulations and quality standards
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Competent in crisis management and the resolution of conflict
• Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project and Procore
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
