The Preventive Maintenance Coordinator oversees the preventative maintenance program and the maintenance spare parts. The emphasis of this position is supporting and developing the preventive maintenance program by linking maintenance staff with materials, methods and correct PM documentation.
Utilizing existing PM procedures as a starting point, key activities include consolidating PM processes, records documentation, consolidating semi-annual and annual maintenance plans for key departments and assisting in day to day department management. This position helps coordinate maintenance efforts around the operations schedule to avoid potential damage to standby equipment prior to RFO.
• Oversee overall safety of Preventive Maintenance teams and perform safety audit.
• Perform review JSA for work scope
• Coordinate PMs performed by BP/ Maintenance/1AT team with Facility Owner or Designate (FO/FOD) on accessing the work area.
• Support BP in obtaining Permit to Work
• Conduct pre-job safety and Toolbox talks.
• Ensure complete and accurate information for all work in the computerized maintenance management System (CMMS). Including the follow up and activities as relates to PM's.
• Maintain and execute the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program, update PM's of equipment in the facility.
• Interface with Maintenance and Production Management to ensure effective work prioritizing and scheduling.
• Follow up with appropriate personnel when addition information is required.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels in the maintenance department, implement inventory controls for the CMMS system.
• Input completed PM tasks into CMMS and ensure all information is captured and generate reports as required for both inventory and CMMS systems.
• Ensuring quality control standards are consistently met.
• Support maintenance purchasing activities as needed.
• Organize, distribute work tasks to maximize equipment availability
• Purchase needed parts through JDE (E1); oversee and assist where required in the maintenance of the JDE PM database for plant.
• Track all maintenance spending and documenting weekly, monthly, and annually spend. Assist Plant Maintenance Manager in the budgeting process through monthly reporting and review.
• Coordinate annual maintenance to critical equipment.
• Coordinates weekly maintenance work planning and scheduling meetings
• Ensuring basic tools and test equipment are in working order by performing regular inspections and calibration.
• Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.
• Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required.
• Oversee overall safety of Preventive Maintenance teams and perform safety audit
Job Specification and requirements:
• Strong knowledge/understanding of Electrical Equipement Systems
• Hands-on commissioning experience relating to electrical distribution and generation systems
• Ability to multi-task would be highly desirable
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
• Good communicator – effectively communicate at all levels and on complex topics
