Contract: Materials Coordinator III / Calgary

The valued client is seeking a Materials Coordinator III for a long-term contract in Calgary, AB.

Materials and Services Coordinator role acts as the interface between the business unit and procurement. The Materials and Services Coordinator interacts with Planning, Inventory, Vendors, Warehouse, Buyers and Maintenance on a daily basis to coordinate material availability for site maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of SAP Purchase to Pay processes
• Coordinate the procurement of materials and services using SAP material/service orders
• Support with material and service requests for break-in, scope growth work
• Provide support to storehouse in maintaining list of critical spare parts available and identify storage location
• Support Bill of Material (BOM's) updates for parts that may be reordered in the future on as needed basis
• Outside repairs – Support Supply Chain Repair Administrator with interfacing with outside vendors to initiate, coordinate, and track repairs for stock and non-stock material
• Communicate component ETAs to Scheduling weekly and work orders can be date managed
• Interface with Scheduler, Planners and FLS’s to ensure parts are on-site prior to jobs released to schedule
• Recognize material usage patterns and interface with PSD for modifications and/or new material codes for stock
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Returns Coordinator to return surplus, cores or stock materials not consumed in field to on site/supplier inventory
• Continuously look to improve processes and activities for materials and services procurement
• Leverage Materials Team for ad-hoc parts analysis to support continuous improvement activities
• Services Coordinator to facilitate Contractor onboarding activities for on-site work
• Attend meetings as required
• Interface with Supply Chain and Warehouse Contractor for shipping and receiving parts, as necessary
• Expedite material requests as needed
• Comply with business controls guidelines

Qualifications:

• Works well in a team
• Strong knowledge of Materials Management and PM module of SAP
• Effective communication skills / ability to interface with personnel across all levels of the organization
• Effective computer and data analysis skills
• Broad knowledge of all maintenance crafts an asset
• Thorough working knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability practices
• Ability to prioritize workload as necessary based on business need
