Senior Material Man
On behalf of a major IOC, we are looking for a Senior Material Man to work in Uganda on a contract basis. This will be a field-based rotational role, working 28/28 on a long term contract, paying a day-rate.
Job Duties/Accountabilities include:
- Take responsibility for ensuring Equipment/Materials are available to assure the well delivery process.
- Deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet the well delivery process requirements.
- Ensure any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required.
- Schedule and control the supply of Equipment/Materials to meet well delivery requirements and optimize stock levels
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for Equipment/Material delivery from Drilling Support Base to Drilling and Workover sites.
- Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
- Day-to-day order management (From Rig Site) and management of deliveries.
- Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on rig stand-by
Candidate requirements:
- BSc, MSc degree preferred. (Or equivalent in professional experience)
- Good communications skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
- Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience of Equipment/Materials planning and managing the smooth supply of Equipment/Materials in line with the activity requirements, ideally within Oil and Gas.
