Java Developer with Angular / Singapore

The Role

You will be working in team within the Wealth Management division developing an advisory platform using the state-of-the-art technologies in the Azure Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in all phases of the development cycle
• Active participation in planning meetings
• Implement new features according to specifications
• Write unit/functional or integration tests and perform unit testing
• Code review for other team members
• Automate the maintenance work with the development tools

Must have

• 8+ years of AngularJS, React, native JavaScript + HTML + CSS front end development experience
• a passionate Java developer with proven track of software development experience in Java//Spring/Hibernate/Webservice (SOAP, RESTful), and RDBMS (Oracle) technologies
• hands-on experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
• solid Object-Oriented analysis and design skills, multithreading and concurrency
• strong expertise in technical design, analysis, debugging, profiling and developing multithread application supporting multiple business locations in different regions
• exposure to Apache/Tomcat on UNIX/Linux environment with shell scripting
• proficient skills with tools used in software development lifecycle, such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, JIRA, GitLab, Maven, Teamcity, etc.
• solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
• proven experience in software development for a financial service industry, preferably in a wealth management/private banking environment, is a plus
• good written and verbal communication skills in English, and the desire and flexibility to work as part of a geographically diverse global team

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology
