Contract: Senior Contract Manager / Canada

The valued client is seeking a Senior Contract Manager for a long-term contract located in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to manage heavy workload in a fast-paced environment  
• Ability to seamlessly interface with Project management teams
• Ability to support the delivery of subcontractors
• Ability to be self-motivated and a high performer

Qualifications:

• Strong preference for an individual that has excellent relationship skills, leadership qualities in managing contractors
• Drafting of responses to Contractor’s communications and drafting of Company initiated commercial communications  
• Lead commercial strategy and tactics collaborating with an integrated contract management team on scenarios developing appropriate claims mitigation and management plans on the same
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability, and competence in the following commercial, technical, and interpersonal aspects
• Minimum of 15 years Contracting and Procurement experience
• Perform effective business partnering with Project Manager, Project Engineers, Contract Holders, Contract Owners, Engineering Managers, Functional leaders (Finance, Legal, Project Services)
• Application of contracting and procurement processes and tools
• Strong commercial acumen / awareness, demonstrated by negotiations and large contract savings
• Managing internal and external stakeholders
•  Effective communications (verbal, written, presentation) working at all levels of management both internally and externally
•  Creative thinker capable of developing innovative solutions and a motivated self-starter with a track record of delivery to project demands
• Applied knowledge of effective local content development
• Understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial issues, able to cope with complexity and uncertainty
