The valued client is seeking a Turnaround Coordinator in Northern Alberta for a yearly contract. This position will commence in January 2022, working a 4 on/3 off shift, 10 hours per day.

Acting as a focal point between multiple internal and external stakeholders, the TA Coordinator will play a key role in annual TA planning and execution of small outages to major Turnaround events

Key Accountabilities:
- Take ownership in preparation of conceptual/detailed step listings and duration estimates ensuring adequate direct and indirect man hours, materials, tools and equipment
- Partner with the internal planning team and designated contractors to build and optimize TA execution strategies from cost, schedule and safety perspectives
- Effectively track TA performance, measure against pre-determined KPIs and make recommendations for improving TA planning and execution
- Company sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out program from Edmonton and Calgary
- This is a safety sensitive position
- 4x3 shift (Monday start)
- Completion of boilermaker, pipefitter, Ironworker, Welder or other metal trade journeyman certification/technical diploma or engineering degree
- 10+ years of progressive experience in turnaround/shutdown execution including 2 or more years in roles with significant leadership responsibilities
- In depth knowledge of maintenance planning on heavy oil upgraders, large oil refining facilities or petrochemical plants
- Experience with Maximo or equivalent CMMS and experience with Primavera and MS Project are assets
