Contract: Document Controller (Senior) / Canada

The client is seeking a Document Controller (Senior) for a yearlong contract in Calgary, AB.

This role will be working with both third-party contractors (engineering companies, vendors, contractors) and internal clients and requires strong customer service and communication skills to align with the needs of the individual project managers and leadership.

The Senior Document Controller will lead the implementation of department initiatives intended to: enable continuous improvement; achieve standardization; improve integration across functions; gain efficiency; and implement new technology.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitation of regular meetings with the engineering for ongoing coaching, mentoring, and quality checks.
• Setting up meetings as required with remote, asset-based Drafting/Drawing control teams to manage the check-in / check-out process. 
• Oversight checks of the Document Systems to ensure they are kept up to date. 
• Maintenance and update of the Document Distribution Matrix.
• Quality checks against the latest Document Index to ensure projects are up to date.
• Development of training programs and roll out and delivery of training.
• Liaise with Upstream counterparts to obtain consistent Document Control standards.
• Initial set up of the Downstream / Midstream Projects.
• Integration of work process with the involved teams. (This may require occasional travel).
• Other initiatives as required to provide support
