Contract: Drilling Engineer / United Arab Emirates

Purpose:
To develop well design and layout optimizing the investments and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety and environmental protection. To draft drilling plan and support its execution providing engineering advise, and updating, when necessary, well design and execution plans

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
? Prepares well data sheets
? Designs and selects well-head equipment;
? Draws up drilling programs
? Obtains relevant data, carries out analysis on site and recommends immediate actions as necessary
? Carries out full engineering analyses of rig site data and prepares regular well reports
? Monitors the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, compares actual costs with cost
expenditure proposals and recommends changes or improvements to rig work techniques
? Liaises with specialist contractors and suppliers, such as cement companies or suppliers of drilling fluids
? Monitors safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the well
? Establishes and administers drilling and service contracts;
? Coordinates and supervises the work of the drilling team;
? Undertakes engineering design and the planning of wells (including development work);
? Works with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitors progress during drilling

Qualifications & Experience:
? Engineering or science degree
? At least 10 years of Oil & Gas drilling experience

Professional qualifications:
? Certifications in drilling engineering technologies may be required

Training and courses:
? Specialized training in drilling technology and HSE
