Business Intelligence & Analytics Lead / Singapore

The client have been engaged by an exciting, Singapore based tech start up to identify an experienced Business Intelligence & Analytics Lead.

Role:

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, this role is primarily responsible for leading the business insights function within the data & analytics team to ensure the delivery of business intelligence and analytics through the development of dashboards, and actionable insights in order for the business to make informed and evidence-based decisions.

• Lead and mentor other data analysts, BI Engineers and assist them on their development and career goals.
• Lead and support the cultural and capability shift of the organisation towards data analytics & insights
• Work closely with the relevant business stakeholders to identify various business intelligence and analysis needs to support the decision making within the relevant functional domain
• Ask probing questions to ensure the business problem and the analysis requirement is clearly defined
• Spearheads development of logical and physical data models, and ETL development

Requirements:

We're looking for an experienced people leader who is still on the tools' and is comfortable writing complex SQL and using BI Visualisation and scripting language tools such as Shell, SQL, Qlik, and optionally Python / Javascript as well as web analytics - Google Analytics. You should have experience working with senior stakeholders in an e-commerce/digital environment and the ability to work with both large volume and complex data.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within data and analytics domain. This includes having experience in scoping, development, delivery of BI solution and actionable insights.
• Experience in leading and building a data driven culture with strong leadership skills in establishing processes, and building out the team
• Understanding and experience of ETL and data structures, data modelling e.g. data warehousing, and data marts
• Experience in e-commerce / digital and dealing with a large volume of web data
• Demonstrated stakeholder management and communication skills to translate analytical solution outcomes in the context of business impacts and benefits to a non- technical audience
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic and very fast paced environment
