Job Title: " Night Drilling Supervisor"
On behalf of our International Oil & Gas Operator, Kurdistan is looking to hire local candidates for the position of " Night Drilling Supervisor"
BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Night Drilling Supervisor will manage the drilling operation during the night shift. He will be responsible for the safe implementation of the drilling, completion and testing operation.
He will be expected to work a schedule of fourteen (14) days on and fourteen (14) days off in the field.
During periods where no drilling rig is operating, he will be expected to work as a drilling engineer in the office assisting with both planning and reporting & position is expected to work a five (5) day work week in the Erbil office, where normal office hours will apply.
He will also be expected to assist with the supervision of rigless operations including coil tubing, slick line, well testing, PCP running, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Onsite Safety leadership
ØImplementation of the agreed work program
ØDaily operational and financial reporting
ØFocal point on shift for all communications and act as works site leader
ØTimely notification of all issues to the Drilling Supervisor and / or Drilling Superintendent.
ØEnsure all routine operations and cost control reports are completed as required by the company and / or regulatory bodies are completed to a professional standard.
ØEnsure the accurate storage of information and data relating to well files and well data.
OPERATIONS:
ØImplement approved procedures for rig-based operations.
ØEnsure well control and safety equipment is serviceable, and personnel are competent in its use.
ØMonitor contractor performance, recognizing good performance and reporting to the Contract Owner
Øany short falls or potential improvements.
ØEnsure that all contract equipment for drilling / work over / rig less operations is maintained and certified.
ØAudit the work performed by the drilling contractor and third-party service contractors to ensure it is performed according to terms of contracts and agreements.
Qualification & Experience required :
Essential
-High awareness of the importance of safety.
-Bachelor or Masters Degree in a technical discipline.
-IADC well control qualified (Level 4 Surface stack).
-Demonstrable directional drilling / underbalanced drilling experience.
-Minimum of 5 years well site supervisory experiences with a high standard of down hole Competency.
-Experience of working in a sour environment.
-Excellent proficiency in English language (written and spoken).
-Excellent proficiency in Kurdish language (written and spoken).
Preferred
-Specific Petroleum or Drilling Engineering qualification
-Experienced with drilling engineering software (Landmark, Sysdrill or equivalent).
-Drilling fluid trained
