Project Cost & Planning Engineer

On behalf of a major operator, the client is looking for a Project Cost & Planning Engineer to work in Malaysia on a contract basis. The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur on a 1 year contract.

You will be responsible for executing the Onshore Gas Plant engineering and construction project starting from FEED/EPCC tendering until completion of FEED/EPCC execution, i.e. Basic engineering design, Detailed engineering design, Procurement, construction & pre-commissioning, commissioning, plant performance test and handover to operation

Job Duties:

• Be a project focal point to develop project execution plan and project management procedures
• Be a project focal point in coordinating with contractors and vendors
• Prepare close-out report covering all phases/contracts Coordinating interfaces between offshore facilities with offshore project engineer

Ideal candidate will have

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry both onshore and offshore
• Professional certificate by accredited Bodies/ Associations e.g. PMI is an advantage but not necessary
• Must have extensive knowledge of Onshore Midstream/Downstream project management, budget control, schedule control and quality control management.
• Familiar with international codes and standards related to Onshore engineering commonly accepted in the oil and gas industry including to related local regulations for Onshore plant design and construction
