Contract: Systems Engineer / US

The client are currently recruiting a Systems Engineer based in Chaska on a 6-month contract.

The client is looking for an engineer to be part of the Clinical Diagnostics Immunoassay Instrument design group. This is an exciting product development opportunity where the primary responsibility will be to assist our Systems Engineering team develop reliable products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate prototype diagnostic instruments with latest software for functional performance
• Collect and organize instrument data for reliability failure investigations
• Utilize internal software tools for investigating product failures (e.g. motion failures, sensor failures, timing failures)
• Develop test plans, execute instrument system testing and complete test reports

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Reliability, or Systems Engineering
• 3+ years' experience in systems engineering or related engineering field; preferably from electrical-mechanical, robotic, or machine design background
• 3+ years' experience with software controlled devices or systems
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve electromechanical systems using analytical and statistical methods
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (mainly Word, Excel)
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete tasks
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and on cross- functional teams with development groups at other facilities as well as take work direction and follow procedures
• Work effectively with team members to develop goals and plans, resolve problems, achieve goals, and coordinate efforts within and across departments
