Geotechnical Database Engineer / Singapore

The client is assisting a global contractor that involves in a huge port expansion project in Singapore.


Please note that this is a 5.5 days work/week


Job Description:

Receive and review raw data and factual reports of Soil Investigation (BH, CPT, laboratory testing, etc...) and Soil Instrumentation (settlement plates, piezometer, inclinometer, extensometer etc..).
Feed and maintain the Geotech Database with the SI and monitoring data, perform queries, extract information from it
Prepare technical notes, and review those prepared by other team members.
Liaise and establish bond with the other departments, sub-contractors and our consultant.
Support the construction activities
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your Supervisor / Manager.

Requirements:

Degree on Civil / Geotechnical Engineering
Database experience and programming knowledge
2 - 5 years relevant working experience
Knowledge and previous experience on Singapore, on soil improvement works and land reclamation projects
Organized, analytical with excellent problem solving skills, proactive, good team player and able to meet tight deadline
Good software knowledge: Database software, gINT, QGIS, programming tools
Full English proficiency, in both writing and speech
Good interpersonal skills
