Highways Resident Engineer & Bridge Expert - Vietnam

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are seeking 2 International Experts for an upcoming World Bank financed highways project in Vietnam.

Opportunity:

The client is a leading International Consultancy who are looking to be appointed as consultants for a $150million highways projects connecting Vietnam's road network to that over its neighbours as part of the Asian Highways network. The input for the Resident Engineer shall be for 24 months, the Bridge Expert for 12 months.

Responsibilities:

The Resident Engineer shall be responsible for:

• Supervise the setting up and operation of contractor's laboratory and monitor quality including Asphalt & Bitumen
• Issue of drawing and provide technical support
• Supervision of Earthworks, foundations including base and sub-base levels
• Support the Team Leader in all aspects of quality and Safety while providing regular progress reports.

Bridge/ Structural Expert shall be responsible for:

• Monitor bridge rehabilitation & repair works
• Provide technical recommendation for improvements
• Check conformity with the design
• Work with the Resident Engineer to ensure quality is maintained.

Key requirements for the role:

Both experts must have extensive regional experience preferable within Vietnam & must have multiple construction supervision experience in the Road and Bridge field.

Resident Engineer

• 15 years in highway engineering and supervision
• Recognised Engineering Qualification
• Must have past experience in pavement design and asphalt mix design works as well as earthworks
• Proficient in both Written and Spoken English.

Bridge Expert

• 10 years in bridge and drainage Works
• Proficient in both Written and Spoken English.
• Must possess some design experience and vast amounts of Supervision experience in the Roads, Highways, Bridges, Structures

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package will depend on experience and will consist of full expatriate package including Flights, accommodation etc.
