The client are currently recruiting for a Sales Specialist in Brussels, Belgium focused on sales of Polyethylene in Belgium and cross border markets. To contribute to optimize market coverage and knowledge for the assigned products and market sectors.
* Reach periodical sales targets in terms of quantity, pricing and customer base development.
* Negotiate prices, volumes, payment terms according to the sales policy and strategy.
* Establish and manage the relationship with assigned existing customers, including key customers.
* Identify new customers in the target market segments, developing sales opportunities.
* Cooperate with customer service and logistic departments in troubleshooting problems arising from Customers, such as delivery to destination, Customer complaints and others.
* Preparation and application of customer credit line requests.
* Regularly report to the Sales Area Manager about the status of the assigned customers and market segments in terms of sales forecast, competition behaviour, pricing and customer needs development.
* Support the credit department in verifying the solvency of the customers and co-operate in any actions or proceedings aimed to recover eventual amounts payable.
* Support the technical assistance team during visits to customers for application development, claims, new product presentations.
* New projects and products development in cooperation with technical service organization.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Preferably knowledge of sales with Polyethylene, if not Chemicals experience is a mandatory.
* Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
* Driving licence.
* Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory.
* French is desirable
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Diploma or higher qualification in Chemical or Materials engineering, industrial chemistry, or economics.
* Extensive experience of technical or commercial experience in producing companies.
