Project Manager

On behalf of a major Oil and Gas Operator, the client is looking for a Project Manager to work on a billion dollar JV redevelopment project in Algeria.

The project itself consists of combined oil and LPG facilities designed to deliver in excess of 24,000 bopd of oil and 11,000 bopd of LPG at plateau and encompasses over 30 new wells and the associated infrastructure. The position will require a candidate with global mobility, as you will be based in Europe for pre-FID and FEED/Detailed Design, and then will rotate into Algeria for the EPC phase of the project.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the Redevelopment facilities are designed, constructed, installed, commissioned and started-up in a safe and efficient manner, with due regard for quality and operability, ensuring maximum value is obtained for the client and its Joint Venture Partners. You will lead a team of project and discipline engineers and project service personnel, and will work closely with HSE, Quality, Subsurface, Wells, Commercial and Operational functions throughout the project

Ideal candidate will have

• 20+ years of experience in the upstream Oil and Gas Industry, with several years of Project Management / Leadership
• A proven track record of delivering successful capital projects across all phases of development from project sanction to production start-up
• Technical authority to manage a range of technical people and contractors.
• Team leadership and coordination and direction of a group encompassing a diverse group of staff/contractors
• Experience in JV operations
• Project/facilities standards, legislation knowledge and experience
• Both green and brown-field project management experience is essential.
• MENA region project delivery experience would be highly beneficial
