Contract: Process Technician / US

The client is seeking local candidates in the Pittsfield, MA area for an opportunity with a global chemical and plastics manufacturer out of their facility in Pittsfield. This individual would be employed on a contract basis and would be responsible for running and maintaining a ULTEM foam machine.
Job Details

Location: Pittsfield, MA.
Hours: M-F 8AM-5PM—Must have schedule flexibility as you may be required to work evenings or over night depending on production schedule.
Pay Range: $25-$35/hr. depending on previous experience.
Duration: Contract will start ASAP and will likely conclude in July of 2021.
 
Responsibilities

• Manufacture/extrude ULTEM foam products.
• Safely and efficiently start up, operate & shut down all production equipment.
• Test and maintain specified quality of foam products.
• Convert foam boards into various thickness utilizing band saw.
• Finish products; confirm quality, label, package and ship orders to customers.
• Maintain & upgrade equipment (investigate, trouble shoot, repair & resolve issues).
• Update, maintain and troubleshoot production processes, documentation of operating procedures and quality systems.
• Organize manufacturing raw materials, intermediate products, and supplies.
• Document production & development activities.
• Led operators on extrusion foam process to ensure products meet all established volume and quality requirements.

 
Job Qualifications

• Must have at least 5+ years of hands on experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Must have previous experience operating a thermoplastic foam extrusion machine or plastic processing equipment.
• Must have schedule flexibility.
• Candidates with a mechanical background would be a big plus.
• Candidates with basic computer/data entry skill would be a big plus.
• Candidates local to the Pittsfield, MA region are highly preferred. No per diem or relocation package offered.
