The client is a Malaysian diversified business group predominently focus on construction, property development, and utilities business. It has offices and projects across United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Jordan and China.


These roles (2 X Headcounts) are particularly for rail projects in Segamat and Johor, Malaysia.


Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) is established, developed and implemented at site
  • To ensure the QMS once implemented is maintained at all level in the project organization
  • To report to Department Head on the progress and performance of the QMS
  • To liaise with subcontractor/vendors on matters pertaining to the QMS
  • To ensure quality inspection, materials inspection, testing, rectification, checking, review, and quality enforcement meets standards
  • Prepare work Inspection and Test Plan for the project & review with QA Manager/ CTM prior to issuance
  • To ensure work Inspection and Test Plan for various trades is carried out
  • Provide training to QCs to carry out quality supervision & monitoring in accordance to company's quality requirement
  • Random monitor QCs' quality assessment on subcontractor works based on KPI set by QA Manager/ CTM and obtain practical evaluation of QCs quality performance
  • Carry out theoretical evaluation of QCs quality performance based on the pre-set quality questionnaires with respect to the trainings provided
  • Compile all submitted quality documentation and prepare Monthly Quality Inspection Report which consists of subcontractor quality performance evaluation and recommendations for improvement
  • Arrange with suppliers on material compliance testing requirements


Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Civil & Structural/ Geotechnical engineering
  • At least 8 years in site quality implementation and management experience in construction site
  • Experience in trackwork/rail project, and mega civil project will be added advantage
  • Willing to work in Segamat and Johor, Malaysia
