The Maintenance Lead has overall responsibility for prioritising and organising the maintenance team. You will lead process improvements and provide hands-on support when required.

The Maintenance Lead has overall responsibility for prioritising and organising the maintenance team. You will lead process improvements and provide hands-on support when required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Be capable of effectively identifying and proactively resolving complex technical issues by timely direct intervention and correction, but must be thorough, accurate and persevering rather than expedient.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of PLC controls / programming, low-voltage controls, pneumatics, Robotic / automation and vision systems.
- Troubleshoots complex problems and recommends appropriate actions.
- Works with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional disciplines to resolve issues.
- Maintain control of the department maintenance spend.
- Assists with the transfer of knowledge; coaches and mentors less experienced engineers.
- Drive the preventive and predictive maintenance program and be a key member of the site TPM team.
- Study the engineering methods used in maintaining on-site equipment and implement best practices for current and future teams.
- Identify improvement projects based on OEE performance and then demonstrate improvement achieved through enhanced OEE.
- Understand CP, CPK, SPC and other Six Sigma process indicators and use a DMAIC approach when analysing projects.
- Drive continuous process improvement across the Teams / different shifts.
Technical Engineering qualification to degree or diploma level
- Experience of Six Sigma and or Lean Manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Must be capable of good confident and reasonably articulate communicator in written and spoken word.
- Must be professional, helpful and courteous in the performance of duties and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
- Possess leadership qualities, initiative, drive, motivation and a capacity and willingness to learn about new systems and technologies
- Data driven in decision making
- Has a presence that facilitates effective communication and influencing others
- A good coach and mentor
