Solutions Architect – 12 Months Contract – Hook
ESSENTIAL:- DEGREE. Strong communication skills and relationship management skills. Engaging with stakeholders is key, someone that has worked with ambiguity before as Governance, processes and design patterns are not necessarily in place. Practical knowledge of a Cloud platform is essential but advanced experience with the entire toolchain is not required, provided you have a sound technical foundation and a desire to learn. Work directly with customers of IT to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes. Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the TechOps platform. Create and capture best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts). Solutions Architect Job Description:
Solutions Architect works hand-in-hand with the IT customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. You will be at the crossroads of business and technology and engage with application teams at all stages of cloud adoption. Solutions Architects also take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices.
Solutions Architect owns the overall technical relationship between our business-facing IT teams and TechOps, they make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. They work to understand the customer's business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology.
In this role, SA’s will get to practice their creativity, linking technology to tangible solutions and educating IT customers about the art of the possible. Architects will have the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases. SA’s will also have the support to grow expertise in industry and technology areas of depth. Every day will be a learning opportunity with customers, peers, and proof-of- concepts.
Practical knowledge of a Cloud platform is essential but advanced experience with the entire toolchain is not required, provided you have a sound technical foundation and a desire to learn.

Solutions Architect Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with customers of IT to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes.
- Run and execute solutions architecture reviews, providing clear, targeted feedback and, where required, run sessions to help the customer further develop their designs. This may be in the form of hands-on sessions or working sessions with stakeholders.
- Must be able to present to key stakeholders, possible options, recommendations, and next steps for application modernisation.
- Own the technical relationship with the customer and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance provided.
- Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the TechOps platform.
- Create and capture best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).
- Evangelise and educate about Clients technologies (e.g. workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences).
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation by promoting a transparent culture of coaching, mentoring, and asking questions.
- Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your business partner’s outcomes.
