The client is partnering with an organisation in search for a Safety Officer located South West of Townsville.
You will have well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. You will be responsible for 2 major projects that stretch across a time period of September 2020 until December 2021.

As a Safety Officer for this organisation you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and implement workplace, health and safety plans in accordance with organisations integrated Construction management system.
- Ensuring that relevant legislation is adhered to.
- Manage and develop relationships with employees and key stakeholders.
- Complete risk assessments, task observations, audits, incident reports and safety inspections.
- Complete and maintain relevant documentation required for the project as per the Federal Safety Accreditation and ISO Accreditation requirements.
- Provide training when required on relevant information and standards.
- Travel between project sites will be required.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within Transport and Main Roads.
- Experience working with a rural environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of latest OH&S legislation.
- Minimum OHS AQF L6.
- Experience working within a rural environment on road construction projects.
- Proven time management skills and excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability adhering to deadlines and managing pressure.
