In this role you will be reporting to the Mininge Manager you will be focusing on the preparation of high-quality operating, short and medium-term and strategic mine plans for underground operations.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Develop medium, long- term, and LOM plans
- Undertake necessary engineering work for gaining mining approvals
- Develop and optimise mine designs
- Cost evaluation of mining areas
- Liaising with engineering and mining personnel to ensure mine plans are executed efficiently and safely
- Provide guidance and support to Mine Operations as required, including audit, review and monitoring systems and procedures to optimise the mine planning function
- Provide technical assistance in the evaluation of new projects
Essential skills and experience:
- Have a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering with demonstrated relevant experience in mining operations.
- Strong understanding of operational constraints on mine plans and designs.
- Extensive knowledge of underground mining practices, strategic planning, Scheduling life-of-mine planning and site-based production planning.
- WA First Class Mine Manager Cert (Preferred, but not essential)
- Experience with mine software packages with a preference to Surpac / Vulcan / Deswik.
- Current Unrestricted C Class Driver's License.
- National Police Clearance (6 months).
