The client has an immediate need for a local Account Manager in the Fort Mcmurray area. Primarily responsibility will be revenue and profit growth within the Wood Buffalo District on programs and services in targeted accounts within the Oil and Gas industries. You will be required to take a consultative sales approach with a primary emphasis on strong account leadership skills and retention of strategic accounts. In addition, you must build long-term relationships with a large customer base by understanding their key business drivers, executing system assurance programs, and selling new technologies.

Requirements

  • Completing assignments in as safe and professional manner
  • Responsible for (and accountable to) your customers within your geographic area – geographic area includes all SAGD and Mining sites within a 2 hour driving Radius of Fort McMurray AB
  • Maintain field inventories and injection rates of the Chemical program in place
  • Complete all reporting in a timely manner (monthly and weekly reporting, technical recommendations and some commercial components)
  • Have a thorough knowledge regarding all of your mechanical and chemical treatment programs in the field or facility
  • Responsible for revenue growth within your geographic area
  • Review recommendations completed by Technical Services with your Field Manager
Position Details

Preferred candidate must reside in Fort McMurray, AB. Residence requirement is no greater than 500 km’s from Fort McMurray for shift rotation. This position is not available for relocation.

Route territory will include all area within a 2 hour drive of Fort McMurray, AB.

Schedule Details

  • Accommodation is provided while on shift which involves 4 days on (Monday to Thursday) – 12 hours shifts (6am to 6pm) with 3 days off on a weekly rotation
  • Company vehicle provided with personal use permitted
  • Rotation requires employee to commute from home to site each week via company vehicle
Physical Demands

  • Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of successful technical sales or field sales support experience
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Previous Petrochemical experience
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
  • Working knowledge of water treatment systems
  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation
  • Prior experience that required excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills
  • Account leadership experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goals
