Contract: Project Leader / Manager - Drilling Fluids / Norway

The client are looking for a Project Leader / Manager position within their Drilling Fluids team for an initial 6 month contract. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the role is currently on a 1/1 weekly rotation at the client premises (Bergen) vs. remote, but expected to progress into full time attendance at the client premises as/when restrictions are further lifted.

NOTE - due to travel restrictions, the client can only consider applicants who are based in country.

The Project Leader will be responsible for the overall fluids project delivery to our customer and the chosen candidate will:

• Manage, plan and control all operational aspects related to fluids engineering, equipment and the associated offshore personnel
• The Project Leader will also be the focal point of customer contact and will perform the day to day design and preparation of fluid programs, chemical environmental data submissions, co-ordinate logistics, personnel and equipment supply
• Ensure HSE requirements are followed at all times

Ideally, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in leading similar large scale Drilling Fluid projects and as such, the successful candidate will have the operational experience, gathered locally or from across global offshore operations to discharge their responsibilities effectively and safely. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will have the responsibility to also ensure that these critical operations are run optimally and that relevant procedures and standards are followed in line with the client's expectations.
