The Role:
JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent is required to exercise responsibility for the management, administration and effectiveness of the finance department to ensure compliance with Group Policies and Procedures and accounting standards. He/she will be accountable for the operations of the Finance Department, development of financial strategy, governance, and accurate financial reporting. The incumbent will also be expected to undertake corporate secretarial responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of the accounting department
2. Evaluate existing accounting procedures and activities and make recommendations for changes
3. Manage the company's local and foreign payables and authorize payments.
4. Manage the company's receivables to ensure a timely collection of same
5. Co-ordinate Group Internal Audits
6. Co-ordinate the annual audit of the company and manage the relationship with the Auditors
7. Prepare / co-ordinate the preparation of financial statements and matrices for monthly reporting to the Board and to Head Office
8. Prepare quarterly consolidation reports for Head Office
9. Prepare annual budgets of Income, Balance Sheets and Cash Flows for approval by the Board and Executive Committees
10. Assist the CEO and the management team in the preparation of the company's corporate plans
11. Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
12. Manage the monthly AR Microsoft AX uploads
13. Manage the company's insurances to ensure assets are adequately covered
14. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
? ACCA Certification or equivalent
? At least 8 years' experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, treasury, financial planning and analysis are required
? Sound knowledge of IFRS standards
? Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
