Looking for a Lead Project Engineer for one of our leading client in Oman. This is for their power project and the location is in Sur.
Omani Nationals are preferred
Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours daily
Scope
Take accountability for all the Greenfield site construction activities including alignment with BF Lead PE by planning and leading the execution of project engineering activities for Power Project, including providing a safe working environment on the site at all times.
Follow and adhere to company standards and approved systems to execute the power project at the site. Participate in the execution of the power project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Be responsible for mentoring and career development of own team members.

Scope

Roles & Responsibilities
- Take leading role in administration of overall EPC contract.
- Plan, organise and develop project implementation plan, project schedule, cost estimate and other relevant reports and use management tools to control schedule, quality and cost for all assigned projects.
- Ensure that technical assurance activities/requirements are completed, fit for purpose and aligned with Company Assurance Framework
- Track project progress and exploit critical path of the project to meet the project timelines.
- Ensure availability of sufficient and suitable resources, materials and equipment to complete all project work within approved project budgets, timelines and quality.
- Implement quality control programs aligned to ISO certified quality assurance system to meet end user requirements, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Administer the PMC contract
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with HSE policy and procedures.
- With Contract Engineer, Initiate, prepare and negotiate relevant contractual agreements or variations
- Initiate and develop specific work instructions and inspection & testing schedules to ensure section compliance.
- Input to various progress reports, cost tracking reports and monthly financial a physical report for Power project.
- Enforce strict Management of Change process
- Review and ensure accuracy of CAPEX Budget report every quarter and update the report. after each screening committee meeting for completed or closed projects and approval of a scope change.
- Support, liaise and align with PMC and EPC Construction management teams.
- Regular follow up on the status of project and drive any required mitigation plans to achieve both cost and schedule requirements.
- Lead and ensure project deliverables are issued and reviewed as per project timelines
- Prepare task and targets for contractor's resources and develop a staff report for each and provide ranking recommendation.
- Coach and transfer of knowledge and skills to subordinates.
Qualifications
- Graduate with BSc in engineering science
- Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas industry with at least 4 years in project engineering
