The Role:
As the Technical Writer within the Human Resources Information Governance team, you will apply your strong writing skills and technical expertise to support HR's communication initiatives. Specific focus will be supporting the Knowledge Base redesign to meet the evolving needs of our organization's employees and leaders.

The Knowledge Base within HR ServiceNow is the hub where our audiences can access all HR information that applies to them. Its redesign will better enable leveraging technology such as Virtual Agent. You will help to inform the design of HR content to realize this goal.

The successful candidate is a multi-faceted communications professional who has knowledge and experience in a broad range of communications tools, tactics and approaches to deliver high-quality internal and external communications materials.


Under the direction of the HRIG Lead, the successful candidate will:

* Collaborate with subject matter experts from functional areas across the HR organization to identify communication needs, determine subject material to be developed, and ensure accuracy and thoroughness of contents
* Create engaging, informative and audience-centric communications, including Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), that align with established processes, brand standards and communication style guides
* Edit, standardize, and polish communications written by subject matter specialists
* Apply expertise and systems knowledge to inform the design and structure of the Knowledge Base content, positioning us for future success which will include Virtual Agent powered by natural language understanding
* Build in-depth knowledge of HR programs and subject-matter to enhance their ability to offer effective solutions;
* Collaborate with our partners including Corporate Communications on tactical communications campaigns
* Contribute to the creation of presentation materials for stakeholder engagement sessions and provide in-room support for facilitation of these sessions


* Strong, versatile writing - able to write in many styles for a variety of internal and external audiences, ranging from developing technical and detailed program information to storytelling and producing engaging content for digital and social media;
* Team player with a customer service focus who works effectively with cross-functional teams, building strong and collaborative working relationships;
* Resourceful self-starter with the ability to self-direct, work independently and manage multiple responsibilities with fluctuating priorities
* Committed to consistently exploring opportunities to work as efficiently and effectively as possible
* Quick to learn and navigate new technologies with the ability to apply this systematic thinking to process efforts

Education / Experience
* University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Business, or an equivalent level of education and training relevant to this role
* Minimum 6 years of progressive, related experience in various aspects of corporate or employee communications and digital marketing activities
* Highly proficient in the Microsoft suite, particularly SharePoint Online, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
* Significant experience leveraging technology, including case management tools and Virtual Assistant functionality, to achieve communications goals
* Experience in a Human Resources environment strongly preferred
* Experience with HR ServiceNow is considered an asset
