Contract: Principal Piping Materials Engineer / Malaysia

The Senior Material Engineer utilizes discipline knowledge and experience of engineering principles, procedures, and materials to ensure the engineering design is properly translated into specifications, drawings, datasheets, and purchase orders. As Senior Material Engineer, you are responsible for identifying innovative methods to carry out assigned tasks ensuring all required material is functional and accounted for within a design and in compliance with international codes, Company specifications, and industry standards and regulations. You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package. You must prioritize assigned activities to deliver a safe, efficient design and meet construction and installation milestones.

In addition, you are:

• Demonstrate depth and breadth of technical knowledge of the discipline
• Accountable to identify material of construction of piping component, mechanical equipment on projects
• Utilize expertise in corrosion assessment and corrosion control management of facilities
• Responsible for material selection report and corrosion study report

Job Requirements
 

As Senior Material Engineer, we expect you to have good and extensive knowledge in Material engineering in offshore projects. You have at least:

• Degree in Material/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Professional membership with BEM, IEM and NACE International would be an added advantage

• Familiar with class rules and international codes and standards
   Furthermore you are able to:
• Make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
• Maneuver comfortably through comply policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics and managing fairly large project teams
